Students prepare a whole pie to take home (varieties change every season), learn baking tips from the "Pie Guy” including how to make the perfect dough, crust techniques, ingredient recommendations, and so much more. Pie class also includes a sample tasting of several varieties of A la Mode Pies.
To register, email the Pie Guy and include your full name, class date desired, email, and phone number. Payment will be collected when you arrive.
A la Mode also offers private pie-making classes for groups
(5 student minimum). The class is a perfect way to celebrate a birthday, baby shower, or corporate/team building event.

"Extremely well run class with perfect mix of listening, action, and watching others. Perfectly paced so you were engaged the whole time without feeling rushed. Instructor had all the minutia worked out ahead of time for us so we could do the fun/important stuff. Funny, informative, supportive, encouraging instructor. Didn't skimp on pie samplings or drinks or ice cream. Perfect for my daughter and me to have a fun and educational evening. 3 pie choices was perfect. The space seemed tight but really, it worked out well and was cozy. I think they've got this thing down. I really have nothing to complain about which is weird."

"Wow! I attended a "two hour pie-making & tasting" class last night! Now, I know one of the secrets of yummy crust is butter AND lard. The class was informative and fun. Chris has a wonderful style not only in his pies but also in how he shares is secrets of yumminess. Not only did we actually make the pies (peach, spiced apple, or marionberry hazelnut), we tasted whatever we wanted, sipped coffee and went home with our pie and a pint of ice cream. Best pie shop in Seattle? Oh YEAH!!!!"
